What is Direct to Film (DTF)?
Direct to Film (DTF) allows you to transfer prints onto fabrics using a heat-press system. Direct to Film can be applied to various fabrics, such as cotton and poly blends.
Why Direct to Film over Direct to Garment?
The biggest advantage Direct to Film has over Direct to Garment is the type of material it is applied onto. DTG is limited to 100% cotton items while Direct to Film works on a wide variety of garment items such as: cotton, polyester, 50/50 blends, nylon, and treated leather. You can even apply it on both light and dark fabrics. Outside of garments, DTF transfers can be applied to alternative surfaces like shoes, glass, wood, and metal.
What is the durability of Direct to Film?
Direct to Film is known for being flexible due to their durability. This means the designs won't crack or peel when stretched, which is great for many uses from jerseys to regular shirts.
